Salar Aghili
Music
A prominent vocalist among the young generation of Iranian traditional musicians, Salar Aghili is known as an instrumental figure to pass on the values of Persian music from master vocalists of Persian Music to the next generation of music lovers.
Born in 1977, he began his music education in early childhood by learning to play several musical instruments such as Tar (Lute), Setar, Santour( dulcimer), Tombak (Persian Drum) and piano. Passionate about singing and encouraged by music masters, he chose singing as the way of expressing himself and sought training with Sedigh Tarif. His vocal intensity, silky voice, and his tendency toward traditional music and great musicians and ecstatic yearnings of Sufism in his work soon opened his way in the hearts of music enthusiasts.
Aghili has released several CD’s and founded RAZ O NIAZ, a traditional music ensemble in 1998. He has performed in many concerts in Iran, U.S.A., Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Spain, Hafez commemoration in Austria, Rumi commemoration in France. He is currently teaching music in Iran and recently established a music academy in Tehran. In Tirgan, Salar Aghili will perform as the solo vocalist in Pardis led by Hamid Motebassem.
